Many factors influence the health of the human psyche. In the article we will talk about what activities can help improve well-being and mood.

What affects a person's mental health

It has been observed that those people whose financial situation is stable also have a more stable state of mental health. Of course, much depends on the character and temperament of the person. People who are receptive, sensitive and emotional suffer more often and more than people who are balanced or cold-blooded.

External aspects of the issue that affect the psyche can be stressful conditions at work, financial difficulties, social exclusion, personal experiences. These risk factors operate from the outside and do not undermine the psyche from the inside, unlike internal ones.

What supports psychological well-being

According to a 2016 study published in The Journal of Positive Psychology, which found that even everyday creative activities such as cooking can improve psychological functioning.

Magnesium, unsaturated fatty acids from the omega-3 group, and B vitamins are responsible for a good mood - they all regulate the activity of the nervous system. Thus, a diet that lacks sources of the above components increases the risk of, for example, depressive conditions.
